It is possible to travel to Tiree either by plane from Glasgow, approx flight time 50 minutes or by ferry from Oban, a journey of approx. 3.5 hours. Car hire is available from the Tiree Motor Company, Crossapol. Contact information is detailed below.

Directions to Cnoc A'Mhurain

From the pier at Scarinish:
Travel from the pier along the pier road (B8065) for approx. 500 yds / 460m until you reach a T-junction with the B8068.
Turn right and continue along that road. After approx. 3 miles / 4.8 km you will pass Balephetrish Bay on your right hand side. Cnoc A'Mhurain is to be found a further 1.6 miles / 2.7km along on your left hand side at the junction with the road to Cornaigbeg. If you are staying in the cottage there is a separate vehicular access. Turn left immediately after the house onto the Cornaigbeg road and the entrance is on your left just at the end of the garden wall.

From the airport:
Exit the Airport and turn right heading towards Balephetrish. After approx. 2.75 / 4.5 km miles you will reach a T-junction with the B8068 and Balephetrish Bay will be in front of you. Turn left and Cnoc A'Mhurain is the first house on your left, approx. 0.3 mile / 0.5 km along the road, at the junction with the road to Cornaigbeg. If you are staying in the cottage there is a separate vehicular access. Turn left immediately after the house onto the Cornaigbeg road and the entrance is on your left just at the end of the garden wall.
